The Antidote: my exclusive 1999 review.

by JL on September 12, 2007

Let me take you back to the summer of ‘99. The KPTV newsroom was short staffed, yet we were photog heavy at the time. And on one sunny afternoon, while we were in the afternoon editorial meeting, the assignment manager decided to try an experiment. She paired me up with a photographer (Jon Gudgel), and had me play reporter. Of course, this crew didn’t cover any real news, like city meetings or curbside homicides. Instead, we covered “summer karate movie camp”:

That’s what I look like before I used to wear my glasses all the time (although I was supposed to, considering I couldn’t read street signs very well). And it’s kinda weird to watch it now that I actually do that kind of stuff now on TV. *sigh* I love finding crazy stuff to add to the LLR video vault. Hopefully I find my tape from the seventh grade where my brother, Tater and I dress up like aliens and host an intergalactic talk show.
