I’m nearly 40 years-old and my desk is covered in nerdy toys. It’s pretty obvious that in my insanely kick-ass office (which I’m preparing to share later in a video tour), when you’re standing over my desk, it’s pretty obvious that a manchild works there.
My first photo is shot from the approach vector, as you get drawn towards my workstation.
Surrounding all my work-related items are figurines from various fandoms – Adventure Time, Gi-Joe, Doctor Who, D&D – all of which are resting below the haunting gaze of my framed Jeff Lemire comic book covers. Note how all of them gaze into your very soul.
Luckily my desk is quite large, as it’s a video editing workstation. It’s supposed to allow adequate room for electronic equipment, but I decided to fill that up with collectibles (and an Emmy – gotta represent!).
Right below my second monitor are my “Masked Street Justice” Funko Pop! Vinyl figures.
And then here’s a closer look at actual work-type stuff…grown-up toys, if you will. Adobe Premiere Pro shortcut keyboard. Trackball mouse. Wacom tablet. 15″ Mac Pro Retina.
And that’s how I roll at work.
